For clinical use, Astroglide is particularly useful
when treating vaginal dryness associated with:
-
Menopause, post-partum (new motherhood), use
of oral contraceptives.
-
Strenuous exercise.
-
Medications such as leuprolide, danazol, tamoxifen.
Astroglide can also be used in conjunction with hormone
replacement therapy (HRT), aiding vaginal lubrication
during the early stages of treatment.
More than 20 million American women are affected
by vaginal dryness. Many suffer in silence, believing
it's a private, non-discussible problem. But it can
be easily resolved with an OTC product: Astroglide
Personal Lubricant, which closely resembles mucin,
the body’s own lubricant. Astroglide, like mucin,
is a clear, slightly viscous gel with a pH that is
compatible with vaginal mucosa. Its water-based, water-soluble
ingredients are greaseless and provide sustaining
moisturising properties.
Intended for OTC consumer use as a personal lubricant,
Astroglide is compatible with condoms, diaphragms,
tampons, douches, and enemas.
Astroglide, also ideal for general office use by
health care providers, is recommended as a lubricant
for routine pelvic or rectal examinations and for
use with gloves and instruments used in non-sterile
procedures. It is easy to apply and remove, requiring
only a damp cloth. |
